Count the Omer-Week 2-/Gevurah (DISCIPLINE)-Day 5/ Hod (SPLENDOR)

Theo and Tessa observe and paint the Japanese cherry tree.

Week 2-/Gevurah (DISCIPLINE)-Day 5/ Hod (SPLENDOR)

“People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don't even recognize; a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child--our own two eyes. All is a miracle.”
-Thich Nhat Hanh-

The pink flowers of the Japanese cherry trees are so beautiful to look at as they bloom. The young children I teach are so wonderful to watch as they live life moment to moment. Putting the two of them together, seeing the cherry tree through the eyes of ten different pairs of small eyes  as they try to capture it all in paint can only be described as splendid. Not a one said they couldn't do it and everyone created something great. Yes I agree. All is is a miracle.

After nightfall on Wednesday:

BA-RUCH A-TAH ADO-NAI E-LO-HE-NU ME-LECH HA-OLAM
ASHER KID-E-SHA-NU BE-MITZ-VO-TAV VETZI-VA-NU AL SEFI-RAT HA-OMER.
Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the Universe, who has sanctified us with His commandments, and commanded us concerning the counting of the Omer.

Today is twelve days which is one week and five days of the Omer.
