Counting the Omer-Week 5/SPLENDOR-Day 5/SPLENDOR

The Rimonim Class prepping for their Class Shabbat.

Week 5-/(Hod) SPLENDOR-Day 5/(Hod) SPLENDOR

There may not be anything more splendid then young children showing off something they are proud of learning. They actually glow as they tell you a new fact or sing you a song. It is almost as if they cannot hold it in. Parents know this and it is why they regularly have their children perform for friends at celebrations or get togethers. On Friday I was able to be just like those parents as I led my class of children in showing off to their parents. They sang, prayed, recited and of course looked cute in doing it. I tried to video it all but turns out to be completely in the moment you can't also be recording the moment. To be in the midst of splendor means giving yourself completely 100%. Those nano seconds of splendor can only be recorded in our brain to be recalled as memories we treasure. Even if one had someone following you and recording those moments for you it couldn't completely capture the intensity. So remember to be here now.

After nightfall on Saturday:

BA-RUCH A-TAH ADO-NAI E-LO-HE-NU ME-LECH HA-OLAM
ASHER KID-E-SHA-NU BE-MITZ-VO-TAV VETZI-VA-NU AL SEFI-RAT HA-OMER.
Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the Universe, who has sanctified us with His commandments, and commanded us concerning the counting of the Omer.

Today is thirty-three days which is four weeks and five days of the omer.
