Counting the Omer-Week 6/BONDING-Day 7/KINGDOM

This Barbie doll was left behind by someone at the beach.

Week 6-/(Yesod) BONDING-Day 7/(Malchut) KINGDOM

The bonds we make should lift us up and make us better people. We should feel as if we are kings or queens treating ourselves and others royally. The ones we bond with should be helping to bring out our best qualities and wishing for our success in whatever area of life we want to be in. Sometimes we may not choose the right ones to bond with. We might pick people who don't have our best interests at heart, who don't even notice if we should fall down or get left behind. At the beach I noticed some child had left behind their Barbie doll in the sand. It might have been by mistake and perhaps the parents were hurrying everyone along so fast that Barbie wasn't noticed to be missing. It seemed so sad to see the doll lying naked and seemingly abandoned by her owner. We want our friends and family to love us and the qualities we offer so much that they couldn't possibly forget us. Let us value ourselves enough to choose wisely.

After nightfall on Monday:

BA-RUCH A-TAH ADO-NAI E-LO-HE-NU ME-LECH HA-OLAM
ASHER KID-E-SHA-NU BE-MITZ-VO-TAV VETZI-VA-NU AL SEFI-RAT HA-OMER.
Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the Universe, who has sanctified us with His commandments, and commanded us concerning the counting of the Omer.

Today is forty-two days which is six weeks of the omer.
